Where Is The Lord? Copyright 2004 Ron Barnes A lot of people searching high and searching low. They're searching everywhere because they want to know In all the whole wide universe, where is the Lord? Now you can search the heavens and the deep blue sea Just looking for the answer to the mystery But you will never find Him in the stars or the earth below. And you can scan the atoms with a microscope But you'll be disappointed if you ever hope To find the answers to all the questions that you want to know. You won't find Him hiding in the stars. You won't find Him sitting in the bars. You won't find Him on the internet. You won't find Him on your TV set. He is the reason why you help a friend. He is the reason why the day begins. He is the sunshine and the reason why the flowers grow. He is the love you feel deep inside. He is the way your heart fills with pride And the love you feel as you watch your children grow. PIANO SOLO You won't find Him on a Senate seat. You won't find Him on Wall Street. You won't find Him in the daily press. And the phone book doesn't  have His address. So there is just one place where you can find the Lord. Deep within your heart is where the truth is stored. You'll find Him living there and that is where He always will be. He is the voice inside that tells you right from wrong. He is the children's laughter and the robin's song. He is the blood of Jesus and the breath of life for you and me. You won't find Him in a college class. Or a statue made of gold or brass. You won't find Him on the evening news. A crystal ball has nothing you can use. You have to look down deep inside your soul To find the Lord of hosts who is in control And He's the treasure no one can take and you never will lose. You have the Lord living in your heart. And He has been there from the very start. He's waiting there to show you Heaven's reward. You don't have to look in outer space. He's with you everywhere and any place. And once you find Him, you won't have to wonder where is the Lord.
