I'm Coming Home to My Jesus Copyright 2004 Ron Barnes I've been searching far and wide, But I found nothing that satisfied So I'm coming home to my Jesus. I have traveled the whole world 'round. I've been searching up and down Trying to find what would please me. I've had highs and I've had lows But no matter how far I go, I never found the balm to ease me. No matter how far I went and No matter how much I spent, I Could never find what I was looking for. All the pleasures that I found Were just seeds sown on stony ground So I'm coming home to my Jesus. Lots of people made promises to me If I needed them they would always be Right there to be my friend forever. But whenever the going got tough, They couldn't be gone fast enough. They had no taste for stormy weather. But through the wind and rain, well, He sheltered me time and again so I know who I can turn to in times of need. He's not a fair weather friend. He'll Be with me until the end So I'm coming home to my Jesus. TRUMPET SOLO Though I may fall from grace and I Lose sight of my Savior's face, I Know He will lead me back to where I belong. He's my compass and He's my guide And a light burning from deep inside So I'm coming home to my Jesus. If the world has let you down And you feel that you're about to drown, Start coming home to your Jesus. He will welcome you back again To a kingdom that never ends. That's why I'm coming home to my Jesus.
