Describing God
Dear Brother Ron
Whenever a God-realized soul tries to express God, that person can't express
God. He becomes like a dumb man who has eaten sweets and wants to express
the sweetness. Can God be described?
Padman
Dear Padman
God is the ultimate being. He exists and rules in a reality of an infinite
number of dimensions and is confined by none of them. This allows Him to be
in all places and times simultaneously. It also means that not only are all
things possible for Him, they have already occurred.
Since we humans exist within a very limited reality, it is very difficult
for us to describe a being who exists beyond that reality, What I have
described in the previous paragraph would be described by some as the
ravings of a lunatic. Five hundred years ago, it would have got me burned at
the stake. For- tunately, we are growing in our understanding of God as we
grow in our understanding of the universe and our relationship to it.
Even so, our understanding is less than that of a cockroach when compared to
God. The good news is when we are freed of the limitations of this world, we
shall gain true understanding.
1Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to
face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
Our Father understands us completely, having created us and observed every
second of our life. Some day, I will get to know Him as well as He knows me.
Best always
Brother Ron
